Information for Prospective Residents

Creative Types Wanted!

Be a part of one of UD's most exciting learning - living environments! Providing housing for 58 juniors and seniors of all majors, ArtStreet combines innovative living spaces with multi-purpose studio facilities. ArtStreet is a part of a university initiative to integrate academic and experiential learning with residential and community living.

There are 5 4-person lofts, 5 6-person townhouses and 1 8-person townhouse at ArtStreet. The townhouses include a common area, three bedrooms for 6 people, front and back porches, washer, dryer, dishwasher, and air conditioning. The lofts include a common area, two bedrooms for 4 people, a front porch on Kiefaber St, washer, dryer, dishwasher, and air conditioning.

To apply for an entire unit, groups must be made up of 4, 6 or 8 same-gender juniors and seniors. Individuals, and groups of two, three, five, and seven are welcome to apply, but understand that if accepted, they will be placed with another small group or individual to fill an entire unit.

UDI 371 ArtStreet Experience:
All ArtStreet residents are required to enroll in UDI 371 each semester. This 1-credit P/F course will include all or several of the following: field trips, performances (music, dance, and theater), workshops, meals, discussions, etc. The nature and particulars of the course may change each semester.

Residents are also invited to attend an OPTIONAL ArtStreet Urban Retreat to Chicago over fall break.

Info sessions: Tuesday, December 1 and Wednesday, December 2 at 4:30pm, ArtStreet Studio B

Applications due: January 7, 2010

All applicants will be notified of acceptance status no later than January 22.
